2002 Rocky Mountain Elevation

Just looking for some feedback, just picked up my new Elevation and personally am absolutely thrilled with its feel and responsiveness. Great frame, I will look to make some component upgrades later. just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or comments on this bike, as i am a relatively new rider. Thanks.

Nice bike. Traditional looking xc frame. I don't see to many around here but th specs are good. For xc riding the deore parts and the mxc air will be very good. The only thing I would have changed off the getgo if I was a xc guy was the bb. Raceface are far stronger and better for my weight range considering how I really put a lot of pressure on the kranks.

But otherwise congrats this is way above standard for a starter bike. And Rocky Mountain has GREAT reviews on their warranties.

I replaced a Klein Mantra with a Rocky Mountain Hammer Race this year. Fantastic bike, I now realize what a crappy design the Mantra was.

I upgraded to a Rocky Mountain Stratos this year and I LOVE it!!! It's light and the geometry makes it a very nimble climber. I really like the Bomber shock it comes with too.

Rocky Mountain builds great bikes. I'm sure you'll be very happy with your decision.
