First Tune-up?
I was just curious, what will my LBS do on the intial tune up except for make little adjusts to compensate for chain stretch? I already know how to set up the bike and I purchased my bike from supergo (only shop that had it for under 1000) and their initial set up sucked. The brakes rubbed, tire pressure was 25 in front 20 in back, the fork was at 75psi (should be 50-55 for my weight) and the front deraileur (sp?) was off. I just finished getting everything set to my liking for tomorrow ride. Is there anything beyond brake and deraileur adjustments that goes on during that first tune-up?

yes, checking cranks, hubs, headset, making sure wheels are true and spoke tension is correct, stem and bar clamp is tight. A check over of the entire bike including adjusting for cable stretch.

I think you need to qualify this, in my limited experience - initial tune-up, isn't full really but rather adjust for cable stretch. I don't think the chain really breaks in to care about it - My LBS has made a couple of quick adjustments for front & rear derailieurs, and replaced a defective X chain with a SRAM.
I'm nearing 1000 miles since May on my Trek 820 mtb, and way things are going will probably have the shop do the full tune-up next spring. Otherwise I'm keeping the bike clean, including the drivetrain and experimenting with several lubes - liking most any of the drylubes I've tried.

I think PM is right, unless you specifically ask them to check this or that, they'll check the shifting and squeeze the brakes and that's about it. I've not taken mine back yet in 1000 miles, did the initial tuneup myself as far as brakes, shifting, and checking derailleur limits.
