What parts should I look at upgrading in the future?
What Accessories should I purchase (I am new to biking so I have nothing )
What assentials should i carry around with me when out on a ride.

Don't worry about upgrading right now, just ride and have fun.
When you ride you should have....
helmet
gloves
extra tube
pump or co2
multi tool
some sort of hydrapack or water bottle
Thats just to get started, you'll know as you goalong.

mtnbiker66 covered it all.

I have the same bike (minus the disc brakes). I really like it. I picked up a used thudbuster seatpost and put in on yesterday, haven't had a chance to take it on the trails yet.

i'm getting a 2k6 dream specialized hardrock sport disc. first order of business for me is upgrading the front brake... probably to something dirt cheap like a hayes hmx-1 from jenson USA.
