LOL ! Freerider, you have asked this question before. Go use the search feature please. I merged most of your threads asking questions about freeride stuff in to one big thread called "Urban Aussalt/Freeride equipment and bikes". Go check it out.

I'd wait till the 2003 specializeds come out now.....they have a P1 and a P2, and they are very affordable. The P1 is a single speed hucker do everything winter bike, school bike, ride down the stairs bike. The P1 is $400, the P2 is $550. I must keep the rest a secret or risk getting killed.

I just bought one this week. It seems pretty solid but the shock is kind of soft, I bottomed out on a three foot drop although I did blow a shift and land pretty hard on the forks. I'm not as good of a rider as I think I am and tend to get myself into trouble by doing things I cant really do but the bike seems well balanced and quite forgiving. I would try to get an upgrade on the shock from the dealer. I've ridden it every day since I got it (7 days) I'm really happy with it.
Oh yea, Get the shop to tighten the spokes before you take it.

Its about 30 lbs but Its got big heavy knobby tires (at least they look heavy). It feels easier to ride on gravel than on pavement.
