Decent price on used FSR?

I'm thinking of getting a used 1999 FSR. I'm not sure if its a COMP other type FSR. Body is silver with black swing arm.
it has - Bomber z1 front fork
- Fox vanilla R rear shock
- XTR rear deraulr , Lx front derauler
- Avid speed dial & XT front brake levers (i guess thrown together parts)
- XTR front brakes and shimao deore rear brakes
- Mavic crosslink front wheel wrapped in a michellin tire
- Rear wheel is a XT hub & mavic
- specialized crankset/shimano clipless pedals
Would $500 be a good price for it? Or would I be better off spending $599 on a 05 rockhopper comp
