100mm fork on frame built for 120mm???

I was just wondering if there are any drawbacks to putting a 100mm fork on a frame that's stock with 120mm?
Thanks.

Steepen the headtube, put your weight forward and make the bike handle a little quicker. That being said check the axle to crown lengths of the forks, because there are longer and shorter 100mm forks.
