Hey, I'm wondering if anybody has had a chance to try out a forward sweep handlebar?
See here: https://www.bikepartsusa.com/product_...110131&large=1
Just curious, because I've always wanted to try something like this (maybe not as extreme as in the pic). I'd like to know how this might affect steering control or other factors.
I know it would bring your hands back a few inches but what if it was mounted on a longer stem?
In my opinions it just seems so much more natural and comfortable on the wrists.
There's no bike shops around that have anything like this so I can't physically try it out. Just like to get some input from others who've had a chance...

I have ridden them (the jeff jones h bar actually) I really like the hand positions on them. T
they are too wide for my purposes though. With the tight singletrack around me you really can't afford to go with a bar wider that 24''. Most of these types are a minimum of 26''. those two inches make a world of difference. And you really can't cut the ends down becuase you are eliminating what the bars purpose was for in the first place.
They are great for singlespeeding I have heard.

Yeah I hear you about the bar length. I like to keep my setup pretty compact and like the narrowier grip as well. This will definitly be something to consider.
How do you find it actually changes the steering control if any?

I did not notice a steering change. The thing that stood out most was that it was a very natural feeling way to ride.
