forks for jumping and drops
what would you guys say are some good forks for dirt jumping and drops. i have been told that dirtjumpers are pretty crap, (apart from the dirtjumper 1s but their a bit expencive), i can get some drop offs here for about £130, are these good? is this a good deal?
can anybody recomend any other good forks for under £200 cheers |
Dirtjumpers and Dirtjams work fine for me. Otherwise the Z series is nice, maybe a Manitou Sherman (as long as you dont have to warranty it), or a Rockshox 426/Pike/whatever it is now.

yeah, I was trying to decide between a z1 fr3 or a sherman. I ended up going with the sherman because I thought the z1 had 150mm of travel and no adjustment when I only really wanted 130. the sherman has 150 adjustable down to 110.

Dirtjams/Dirtdrops have btwn. 100-150mm depending on the model. Z1's are 130-150mm, Shermans are 85-170mm (I think). Really, all the companies now make a fork suitable for just about anyone, whether you want a 85mm park fork, or a 150mm single crown freeride fork.

Umm, the Dirt Jumper series are most definitley not crap and 490 isint that bad for a fork. Each fork is meant for something else. Even Manitou Axel is meant for something beginners. Now if your a "Beginner Expert" as you say, I think the drop off's woul be good.
