i want to buy a new mountain bike, can anyone suggest some model or brand names of mountain bike for me? price within $200. pls

Here is a nice Trek for $239. Might find a deal that takes it under $200 since it's an 05.

Lifetime frame warranty. 1 year on all the other parts. Not a bad deal for a new bike.

Iron Horse bikes often have a bit better components than other brands of the same price range. $200 is really low though. Consider spending $300-400 on a used bike and you'll get something *way* better.

For around $250 you should get something that will be very reliable and a great moutain bike.
Trek, Specialized, there are a ton of good brand names out there. I hear Fuji and GT are good also.

not really. I remember when I had a steel bike... it was quite light, although I didn't use it for off-roading.
