2004 Norco Storm, thoughts?

I was going to get the Kokanee and upgrade the front derailleur from Acera to Deore, but then I noticed the Storm, which is Deore all around (Rapid fire shifters and both derailleurs), and has a 9 speed drive train, disc hubs, and a Truvativ crank, for only 100 dollars more than the Kokanee with the Deore front derailleur.

I think I'm going for the Storm, which is going to come to $862 CDN, with taxes. A little more than I want to spend, but I want something that shifts extremely cleanly and will last.

What do you think?

Edit to add: I LOVE the Marzocchi 100mm Shocks on both the Kokanee and the Storm. How high of a drop do you think they could handle?

Awesome bike KaoTik...Just came from the Norco site and the bike looks pretty awesome. I take it your into mostly XC...or trails and things...thats neat.

About the fork...Im not too sure about the fork...but it could most likely take a fairly good drop...

Yeah no DH for me, mainly just small jumps/drops and trails and that type of off roading.

I didn't want rear suspension because I'll be doing quite a bit of road driving as well (To get to the places with good trails) and I find rear suspension is just a nuisance when trying to gain speed.

Anyway, looks like a good bike to you too eh? I was planning on the mountaineer at first but then the bug hit me to get high quality everything, lol. And the compatibility with disc breaks also got me, I'd like to try those out sometime.

I'm really interested in what kind of a drop those shocks could handle, how many feet do you think? I really have no idea.
