Just got a 2003 Giant XTC2
Woohoo.
very light bike and rides really well.
As i have posted earlier, I was looking to spend around $600.
then i found a great deal on a 2003 rainier for under $800.
But at the last minute i called my LBS and have them order me the 2003 XTC2 instead.
I am very happy with the purchase.

Great!! I'm looking at some Giant's myself. The bike shop I work at doesn't carry Giant, but x-mas stock will be coming in soon so I'll be a bike building foo and soon I'll have the money I need.

It seems that Giant is trying to compete with lower prices, and not selling their brand like many other companies do.
So Giant gives me an impression of affordable good bikes! I got a GT, it's good but expensive if I had bought it at original price. My friend got a 2002 Xtc SE3 frame. It's only 1.5kg and doesn't cost much.

They just pass the saving to us the consumer.
If you want the best bang for the buck, you can't go wrong with Giant. I bought 2 giants in this month.
