Iron horse yakuza chimpira
K2 zed 3.0
schwinn mesa le

Motobecane 700ht
which one of these is the best? which do you think is the best bargain? are there any other models that i should be looking at, like a trek or cannondale or something? thanks in advance

Firstly, what kind of riding do you plan to do? Also, your height and weight may come into play if you're really tall/short or heavier than average.
Personally, I'd pass on anything from GT, K2, Schwinn, and Motobecane. I'm not sure about K2 (I don't know their company history at all), but the rest of them are "bought out" bike companies that have noticably been hurt by it.
I don't have any personal experience with Iron Horse. However, the Yakuza Chimpira seems overpriced for the components that it comes with. The Maverick SE is better, but could improve.
What other brands does your local bike shop carry? Have you tried test riding any of these or other bikes yet?

hey again. i am 6 foot 2 180 pounds and will be using the bike primarily for trail and city riding. the trails i will be going to are pretty rocky(says the mtb newb), how much travel should i look for in front suspension? im in a pretty spare lbs area, basically i am looking at a trek or a cannondale(probably to expensive) if i go the lbs route. the treks seem fine, i am just trying to get something better for my money. service and tune-ups will be performed by me, so that part of the lbs experience isnt something of value to me.

I'd get the maverick se coupled with the 20% discount from performance would be the best deal. (if you can do it)
