ISCG vs BB mount chain guides

I'm looking at getting a new DJ/urban bike setup. Right now I'm still in the research faze. The main thing that's bugging me is chain guide mounting systems. I've heard bad things about bottom bracket mounted chain guides: they lose tension, slip, loosen the BB, etc. Is any of this true, or is BB mounting just as secure as ISCG mounting?
