Well, that was pretty crazy. I've never ridden this hard before.
In June I got to know these two bikers in Vallnord, Andorra one DH weekend. Anyway, we finally got together to have a ride. At 8:30am we met up and came home at 2:30pm (i.e about 6 hours). The climbs were amazingly hard, ranging from simply long fireroad climbs to climbing tight singletrack, manouver over 1 foot diameter boulders and over massive roots. After we'd reach the peak of the climb, we would come down the trails at 30 km/h, really sweet tight singletrack, ranging from simply dirt to rocks, roots and jumps. Anyway, I have never ever gotten this tired before, and we only stopped 3 times and each time for only 5 minutes, which meant we were basically on the move all the time. Towards 45km my arms and legs went stiff from the tiredness and I couldn't suck up bumps at all so I kept getting bounced around, nevertheless it was extremely fun. I've seriously never pushed myself this far, and this ride was at the boundary of my capabilites. The high point of the ride was a crazy rock chute which was basically like the one in Diablo Freeride park, except it was one foot wide and a tad shorter.
As we went through the winding singletrack, I hear one of the guys call up from the front: "Toboggan!", and I was like "What the hell?". I soon found out. xD I slammed the brakes on, coming to a halt in front of the rock chute. I weighed up my chances of success, realised this was the only way down anyway and hit it.
One thing that amazed me a lot was I didn't fall a single time throughout the ride, while on average I have 2 or 3 falls on my usual short rides, one of the guys did fall, scraping his shoulder and upper arm really bad but nothing serious.
Sorry about the 0 pics but a) we didn't stop for anything b) I didn't have a camera with me.
When I got home, I sat in the couch and my legs were trembling and shaking from exhaustion. I spent 30 minutes in the shower.
I just felt like sharing this epic ride, 60km, craziest ride I ever had.
Cheers,
-DC
PS: I lost 2 1/2 pounds of weight in that one ride. I quickly regained them with the extensive lunch I had the second I got home.

Hehe. I forgot to say, nearly snapped the frame dropouts when my QR lever hit a rock and opened. The wheel wobbled around a lot but I managed to stop in time.
