Chris King ISO w/ Mavic XM819? best place to buy?

I am looking for a new disc wheelset for my Trek Fuel EX9...would like to try tubeless, and thought this combo looked good..any thoughts? Coorado Cyclist has them for about $630, although they have a promo code box...but I can't seem to find any codes. Anywhere else I should check? Thanks

You will be hard pressed to find new King stuff at any discount, anywhere. It may be a good opportunity to go through your LBS and have them build the wheels - you will foster good will and probably get a lifetime true out of the deal.

I've purchased and ridden CC built wheels in the past - no complaints.

I just got that exact wheelset built last month. You have great taste BTW.

Don't expect a deal on those. But you can enhance the purchase by going with a wheel builder who has a sterling reputation for wheel building and who builds lots and lots of wheels.

I chose Excel Sports in Boulder to build mine.

I tried the Build-a-wheel thing over at Speedgoat and got quoted $771.

I have heard great things about Mountain High Cyclery. A buddy of mine bought his Turner 5-Spot from them and the Turner guys over at MTBR.com can't stop raving about service, quality and prices.

Doesn't hurt for you to shoot an email and ask. The main contact's name is Larry. mtnhighcyclery@comcast.net
