Special stem for carbon handlebar

Hi,
I'm planning to upgrade my handlebar to Easton EC70 MonkeyLite XC Carbon.
I wanted to know if I need for that a specific Stem type?Thomson elite or Easton stems for ex.?
I ride XC and medium single tracks.
Please advise
thanks
Jo

you don't need a special stem but if you need an excuse to get a thomson stem then go ahead. Get a seatpost while you are at it to match.

the most important thing is to clamp down evenly with your stem bolts and make sure your stem clamp has no burrs or sharp edges. Tighten to manufacturers specs with torque wrench.

If you don't have one, don't wing it.

Easton recommends a two-bolt stem cap, torqued to spec.

Thanks guys,
You saved me some money, I'll stick with the 3D forged CNC machined Stem that I got with my Stumpy and buy the Easton EC70 MonkeyLite XC Handlebar for 60$.
Thanks again
Yossi
