Price Difference
I am looking at getting a specialized Hardrock but i was wondering what do you think the price difference would be between a 06 Hardrock Comp and the 05 Hardrock Pro. Also if anyone knows if there is any type of an upgrade from the 05 fork to the 06 fork thanks!

It is very possible you could get a discount on the 05 pro, around this time most LBS are willing to deal on the 05's. I just recently bought a 06 Hardrock Pro and they told me they would knock 10% off any 05 in stock or special order. The 05 hardrock pro fork is a Marzocchi MZ Comp, 100mm travel, preload adjust, steel steerer, elastomer/coil spring while the 06 hardrock comp has a Marzocchi MZ-3, 100mm, 30mm stanchions, coil/MCU w/ preload adjust. I don't know what the difference is between these forks; I would think there isn't much of a difference at this price point.

I have another question. Do you think many LBS's will still have some 05's left or special order one sometime next spring or do you think they will only have the 06's in stock and wont bother to order one?

Some will have 05's in stock, however some will not at this time. Do this, go here find all the Specialized dealers that are close to you (within driving distance), tell them you’re looking to buy and ask if they have what you want. Ask the LBS what they think about the different bikes also and if they do have a 05 pro in stock ask what they want for it. Right now I seriously doubt that Specialized has many 05's in the warehouse, it's possible I guess but unlikely.

You know what sucks i live in saskatchewan on a farm and the closest bike shop is about 100 miles or 160 km and the next one is over 200 miles so i have to settle for what they have there cause i only 14.
