HELP: Rear Shock Question

I have a 2002 Kona Kahuna which came standard with a fox vanilla rear shock. I am looking at upgrading the rear shock to a new Fox Float R but am not sure of the stroke of my oringal shock??

Firstly does anyone know the strock of this particular shock and/or secondly does it really matter if the new one I put on is the same?

Cheers.

I don't know what the stroke is but yes, it is important that the stroke is the same. The best way to figure out the shock stroke is to give Kona a call or drop them an e-mail.
