From yesterday. I think we topped out at 15F. Four of us, though only managed to get a couple decent pics. Sliding all over. A couple inches of fresh powder on top of a nice icy sheet. I was stupid and brought the bike without studded tires.

Picture from where I parked from today's ride. Despite the picture, once you get on the mountain side, the riding is really good. The snow gotten this winter here in NJ has been surprisingly good for riding in, a lot of powder here which made for some fun on some of the downhill apex's there(drifting).

Thanks for the link man. Thats why I am building that bike I'm glad there are place to actually ride rather than screwing around on campus.

Oh man...Manhattan has some pretty big stuff. I've not been there, but there's like 4' drops up to 12' along with a new 19' step-down as of last yr, I think. Big for KS anyways, eh?

Whatever nature don't provide...they just build.

KC has some stuff too:

Shut up. A friend and I tried to ride on Saturday. It sucked. Our snow wasnt completely melted, but it was around 50 degrees, so it was slush and ice. The only place you could even get enough momentum to get through it was on the downhills.

I'll assume you've been getting about the same weather as we've had here, only without, or with less snow. We had similar conditions a few days earlier than that.

I took the mountain bike on the commute and climbed around on big frozen snow banks in parking lots. Fun because you never know if it's going to be solid or you'll just sink in...

I really want the trails to clear up.

Gainesville riding

I rode a trail in Gainesville FL yesterday. It was a lot more than I expected. Lots of kits built up, see saws, jumps. I never would have guessed all that was back there. Went alone, no pics.
