RaceFace Bash Ring - WebCyclery

Hi MTBers,

I'm planning to get a 4-bolt RaceFace bash ring from WebCyclery.

Anyone have experience with this bash ring or others?

Anyone have experience with WebCyclery?

Thanks.

I picked one up from nashbar, nashbar brand for like $14. Solid AL works great. I have put some solid hits on it with no issues at all.

I love webcyclery. I have purchased quite a few things from them. They have some hard to find parts and some unique items. All quality.

Unfortunately, they are pretty much the highest priced internet retailer there is.

I have one that came on my cranks. Seems pretty solid, I have no complaints. I've really slammed it into some concrete too, I'm glad I have it.

Good decision, I have one and it's been holding up to a LOT of abuse (all the trails around here have a lot of rocks, keep banging it into them). A couple of chips and scrapes but in terms of aesthetics and function it's awesome.

Well, since you said "or others" I'll put in a good word for E.13. It's taken some pretty big hits, like trying to hop up a concrete ledge, not hopping enough, and slamming directly into the square edge with the bashguard. Plus I weigh 200lbs. Have also had good luck with Shimano Saint bashguards. Don't seem to hold up as well as E.13 stuff, but the Saint bashguard is actually pretty cheap.

I had one for a bit i really didnt like it. It doesnt slide on concrete that well if your looking for something just to protect your chainrings go ahead and get it if your looking for something to ride street on and slide on it stay away get the e13.

Hi MTBers,

Just put on the Nashbar bash ring. This is one solid, nice looking ring, easy to install, and only $15 plus $6 shipping.

I think it will save my chain and rings, and help get over some logs.

Thanks for putting me onto this bash guard.
