Giant Iguana

What you guys think about the Giant Iguana? Is it just a recreational bike, or can it take some serious riding??

Get Kona Blast - it's the same price, but the specs are better. The frame materials is different though, I wonder if Giant has a tougher frame.

That's the same thing I'd like to know.
I'm buying either Blast or Iguana (unless I'll find a better offer, i.e. used), but it will surely be Blast if Iguana's frame is not a lot better.

Depends on your ranking system of serious and recreational.

For normal riding in normal areas it can go hard. I know 3 people who broke them within a month because of the single track up here. But really they aren't built for that kinda of riding

Wow was I obtuse. No the iquana. ...I never hear any complaints about Kona's around here. Except the higher end ones are underspec'ed ... but it is worth the sacrifice for tough.

That is not the case.

Iguana has similar parts for less.

Every knows Giants bikes are the best bang for the buck.

CASE CLOSED.

Iguana:
https://www.giant-bicycle.com/us/030....22&model=10633
Blast:
https://www.konaworld.com/2k3/2k3_blast.cfm

In my LBS Blast will be $750 CDN. Iguana - $700-800. In the other LBS I saw Iguana '02 with a 'sale-price' of $750.
