Lame Or What

This is a quote from a 14 teen your old (im 14 too) i go biking with hes a huge poser. He also likes to take the bus up to the place where we ride instead of riding.

"What people don't know(or understand) is that the bicycle is more than a sport and more than a job. The bicycle is a revolution, an assault on civilian territory, intent upon taking, from the ground up, responsibility for the shape of our cities. It is a mutiny, challenging the ever - one - way street. The bicycle is a philosophy, a way of life, and I am using it like a hammer to change the world and and redeem our war - torn cities."

Im pretty sure he stole this from some place but if he didn't even funnier!
I have found that the people that don't talk about biking are better than thoes that just use it has a social thing, to say "I bike, Im a rebel." Biking is just to go out and have fun not something to impress people with or anything. IT'S A SPORT!

Welcome to the forums, the quote is from Travis Culley:

"My bicycle leans against the paper box. To the world, trotting through these trenches with me, it seems a toy, a feeble substitute for a Ford Expedition or another ****ing Camry. What these people don’t know is that the bicycle is more than a toy, and more than a job. The Bicycle is a revolution, an assault upon civilian territory. It is a mutiny, challenging the ever one way street. The bicycle is a philosophy, a way of life, and I am using it like a hammer to change the world and redeem our war torn cities. I challenge you to consider this cult of human power that is reclaiming public space and giving it back to average people”

To each his own :)

I'll go with Joe. I use biking for a variety of reasons. Sport, rebel, pure fitness, pain...lots of things. :)
