Rock Shox Ario w/ Lockout issues...

I've recently purchased a Motobecane Fantom Comp DS at www.bikesdirect.com. I'm completely happy with the bike thus far, but am having issues with my rear shock. It's a Rock Shox Ario w/ lockout. I pump it up to around 120 lbs, but within half an hour, it's pretty much empty again. Is this expected behavior for an air shock? Or is there some defect in the seals that I need to contact the manufacturer about? ... kinda pissing me off; I paid $1000 for the bike, and took it on my first ride today, but had to use the lockout the entire time, and wasn't able to feel the full effect of the rear shock... Any help/advice/criticisms are appreciated...
