Does anyone have experience with this model? I am thinking of getting a 2004 model for my wife for about $300 used (barely used at all).
Any opinions??

well, I sold a used Trek 4900 WSD 2002 model this summer for $430 CDN --> $350 USD. So I think you should look for a little lower or around the same there. But not over 300 USD...

Thanks for the info, do you think that $250 would be fair?

Not all WSD bikes fit all women. How tall is she? Quite a few LBS told me that unless the person is about 5'4 and under, WSD is not necessary. I realize that they make bigger frames for this design but still the top tube may be too short. I was one of those that was stuck between a WSD and a regular. Although both bikes that I tried were 16 inch, the WSD felt too small and skittish for me. Both were the same model, just one men's and one women's.

Same with me. I went with a men's Kona Caldera in the 16. I tried the 06 women's Kona Lisa (same frame as an 05 Caldera) in the 16 and it was just to "tiny" for me. The Caldera fit perfect. I would go with the more comfortable men's. Plus, if you ever have to sell it, you might have more takers.....
