Well, I finally had my first big crash and let me tell you something; it was hardly glamorous. Ill spare the embarrising details but basically I tried this drop with little run and ended up endoing and planting myself into the ground. After the sickening feeling disapeared I decided that this rock wasnt going to get the better of me. But after re-evaluating the situation, I felt that I was foolish to try it a first time. Lesson learned, but now my knee aches... Quick rehab and Im back out there.

Where are the pics? Good crashes always make good pics.
Go out and do it again. If you can not manual as you start the drop try giving 1/2 a power stroke to get the front end moving up, keep your weight over your rear wheel and watch where you want to land and not the lip of the drop even before you hit it.
How high was it?
Heh, trust me, it wasnt very high 3 1/2 feet. But there was no run to it. I wish I had a camera with me. Id put the picture on my handle bars to remind myself to get my a$$ back and not stare at my front tire
But its the learning process I will be going through while I learn to ride better. Plus its fun getting the gf angry with a new war wound. Im still laughing hard at how I must have looked. Jeez rocks are hard...
