My pike team is on.

Didn't want to put it on yet, but had to after finding a crack on the right side stanction on the fox. Didn't plan on the wheel either, the hub that was on the Mavic wound up being non convertable. So for now I have a Bontrager Big Earl Wheel on the front.

Had first ride on it already. From inital findings, it's a great fork.

For single speed, I wouldn't have it any other way, plus it keeps maitenance costs to a minimum, remember there are people that don't like deraillieurs, I'm one of them.

For the discs, they were just what I ordered, no reason why.

Your'e kidding right? Once you ride SS it's really hard to go back to a geared bike. I think it's one of the nicest aluminium frame ss bikes I've seen.

What is amazing me is that the Pike at 140mm has the same axel to crown height that the fox had.

I've had really bad luck with deraillieurs on this frame. I prefer keeping things as simple as I can. I don't get chain slap that you get with a deraillieur, the bike is quiet when ridden and there is no pedal lag at all. There is no chainguide on it, just the bashring so I don't screw up the chainring that is on it.

I see you got over the chain tensioner as well.

What rear hub are you running? That affects pedal lag more than a derailleur does.

He bought the frame and transfered the parts from his old kona stuff, he didn't buy it as the complete cowan. Looking good though.

So Kona, when are you going to switch to the hydraulic disc brake world? Or are you going to stay with those purple levers?

I should have taken a picture of it, but where the brea is, it would be hard to tell. It's right where the stanction meets the crown.
