BigHit frame buildup...

hello people,

Anyone have any experience with a Monster T? I am thinking of either the Monster T or the Shiver DC on my Specialized BigHit frame. (I would go with the new Z1 prototype but of course it isn't out yet). Any other suggestions for the buildup???

My buddy just got a Monster T for his SC Bullit. It's definately the biggest badest stiffest fork I've ever felt. He had a Super T, and decided to get the Monster because his ability was getting to the point where he needed the extra strength and travel. He's now up to about 12-15' drops.

He said his Super T was good for the 5-7' drops, but got to flexy in anything over that. I dunno, I'm only brave enough to do 3' drops.

What other stuff are you putting on? What about cranks? I'd go with some tubular chromoly cranks like the Profile Racings, Azonic 454's or others.

What about wheelsets? Atom Lab trailpimps or Mavic DeeMax.

Sup a2psyklnut,

Think if I do go Monster T I will get the 02(have to hurry b4 they are all sold out). I semi-considered the Super T but from what I have read it is just a heavy trail fork...there is still that Shiver though.....heh heh....

For the cranks I have narrowed it down to RF Prodigy DH. They seem to be pretty decent for the money.

Headset...gonna prob go with Pig DH...tough and cheap...

Wheelset...the Trailpimp rims are probably going to be the way to go. But the hubs I'm kinda undecided. 24 bicycles has a sweet hubset...Fat Mama's...also the atomic labs hubs look decent...DT Swiss Freeride...choices choices....

Not sure which disk brakes I am going to get either. Have to be 8 inch rotors though to slow this tank down...

..damn, I can't wait to ride this bike...
