I went down today in the mud. First time in ages that I took a spill on the mud. I usually take pride in being able to stay upright in the slop.

Earth sample that the pedal dug up.

o/c, i'm an incompetent fool with poor motor control and a tendency to severe vertigo.

Falling in the mud definately sucks, especially when it is on your drivetrain side. Of course you don't have to worry about that nearly as much as us posers with gears do.

My wife bought me a book that said cuts and bruises are just badges of honor. Broken bones are bad though cause it is hard to ride with them. It doesn't talk about falling in the mud but I don't mind much.

35F ... that aint cold. fall in the mud when its in the low 20s and the only mud is on a sunny stretch after opening a new large, shred your pants, strawberry from previously falling on the frozen ground, then riding out with one leg from ankle to crotch open to the air and bleeding, then we can talk cold.
if you dont mess up sometimes , you aint trying hard enough.
nice pics also
