What brakes do you run?

Just wondering what brakes everyone uses. I think its got to that stage now, that disc brakes have probably taken over the rim brakes? But I'm not so sure. Anyway on my Giant Yukon I use Hayes MX-2 disc brakes. I'm thinking of putting some Avid BB7's on, but I want to wait a bit longer and put them on my next rig.

My steelhead is gonna get a Hope mini mono for the front and either another hs22 in the back or a mini mono. But for now, im just throwing on a spare pair of Hayes nine's I have.

Stock Tektro v-brakes on both bikes actually. Rear only on the BMX.

I think I might get a new wheelset, and get discs for the hardrock. If I do, probably XT on rhyno lites and Avid mech's to go with my Avid SD7 levers.

I have Pro-Max disc breaks on my MTB.

The more and more you see MTB's the more and more you see them with disc breaks.

The time will come where v-breaks die out. Then disc breaks will die out because there will be something better then disc breaks.

As time moves on, parts update.

Just part of life,
Alex and Foxy

Disc brakes are so passe. I'm jumping ahead to the next wave of technology...

These guys have the right idea... they even named the whole bike company after one...

On my roadbike, I'm converting to a combination of these...

Will go for the same levers when I eventually get the avid mech's. Was looking at the FR-5's, but the SD7's seem to be the better pick.
