Easton MG-60 Magnesium Stem

I'm thinking about purchasing this. What's your opinion of Magnesium for stem matierial? Thanks Everyone.

Wish I could tell you about the magnesium stem, but I can't. What I can tell you is that I just got a Thompson stem and I absolutely love it... a work of art! If you've got a nice fork, who needs a magnesium stem anyways...

Just found one at WheelWorld for 69 bucks. Pretty cheap for a Thomson.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but i got one of these Easton stems for free and was gonna throw it on a beater bike...is there a safety issue or something? Whats wrong with em? The link up there is dead.
