Chain Rigns Replacement

Hi, up to know i have 2500 kms (about 1500 miles) on my bike (an 05 rockhopper) and most of the time i have riding on the road and not on trails because i dont have a road bike and i needed to train hard for a race, so i think if its time to change the drivetrain, i'm on a budget so i was looking at pricepoint for the race face chainrings instead of buying the whole crankset, also because most of the wear has been on the biggest ring (42 teet) and i want to know if they are replaceable. it currently runs the original truvativ 5D crankset.
thanks

The rings on the 5D are replaceable. You can use whatever you want as long as the bolt pattern is the same, I think it's a 104mm 4 bolt.

I have more mileage than that on my Truvativ 5D crankset (previously on the Rockhopper, now on the Major Jake). There are a couple of broken teeth but not anything I would worry about replacing right now. But who knows, yours could be more worn than mine.
