Seat post size for a Easton elite frame

Hi all,

Just bought a bike off e-bay and the seat post goes in about half an inch and then no more which would be fine if i was 6 ft 8!!

Need to buy a new one and have no idea what size i'll need. I've booked it in for a good service aswell but can't wait to get on it!!

Any ideas what size i'll need for a easton elite frame 7005 grade with comp race tubing?

I know it sounds like a long shot!!

Is there something in the seat tube blocking it? If it goes in half an inch it should go further, unless the bottom of the seat post has a narrower diameter than the rest of the tube (which would be unusual). Either get a set of callipers and measure the internal diameter of the seat tube, or when it goes in for a service, ask them to sort it out for you.
