Hey, I just got a new bike. It's a 2005 Iron Horse Warrior Sport with disks. So far I like it alot, this bike is only 19.5" which is a little smaller my 22" Diamondback Response. The Response was a good bike, but it was too big to throw around and it didn't take my punishment (4'+ jumps to flat) to well. I put almost 900 miles on that bike in only 6 months of riding. The geometry and position of the Warrior allows me to do tricks alot easier. It is very similar in perfomance to my friends STP III only it handles better on offroad terrains.
I like all the compnents but I think I might upgrade to a stiffer fork so I can go off of even bigger jumps.
I got this bike off of ebay and if anyone's intrested the seller has another one.

I think the green thing you're referring to is a cardboard packaging.
Like I said, that's just a pic I found on the internet. I left the charger for my digital camera at a hotel last week so I can't take any pictures. My bike is completely stock with all 24 gears functioning.

Be careful before buying this bike, I purchased a 2005 Warrior Race from Randal Scott Company www.rscycle.com The bike you bought might be a 2004 and not a 2005 model.
I cannot find specs for a Warrior sport on the ironhorse website which still has specs on it's 2005 models there.Their hardtail warrior models are "comp", "expert" and "race".
I might be wrong ,but this might not be as good a deal as you think.

Yeah i dont think thats an 05. I looked very carefully at the 05's and dont remember seeing a sport. The comp (lowest one) was blue.
Chaulk another reason up against buying online.

No, I'm positive it's a 2005 model. Iron Horse only includes they're premium top of the line models on the internet.
Anyhow I'd like to replace the fork, do the Marzocchi Marathon forks work well?

Wait, you're telling me that the Sport is only available online because its a "premium top of the line model"? Wow, my local IH dealer must be pissed that they only get to sell the junk.
Mate, i checked. You got duped. Ironhorse did not build or offer a "Warrior Sport" in 2005. That aside, its still a decent bike anyway.

Dude, do you ever think before posting? My Warrior is the bottom of the line in the Warrior series. It goes in this order, Sport, Comp, Expert and finally Race. If money wasn't such a big issue for me I'd probably own the Expert.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Ironhorse doesn't show their crappy bikes online. There are a lot of bikes, like the ones at Sport Check, that arn't on their website. That's definately an 05 because the 04 had a Manitou fork, and the 03 had a Judy.

Ok, maybe he didn't feel like leaving any, or forgot, regardless it means nothing.

Let me make this more understandable for you, he has one more bike like that. Understand yet?

Not that it matters...because be it an 04 or 05 is irrelevent. Its still a pretty good bike for just over $300.
Although i emailed Tom at Iron Horse and he's usually pretty quick with the response. So we'll know soon enough one way or the other? If im wrong im wrong. I just dont recall ever seeing an 05 warrior sport.

I checked at the bike is not listed on the ironhorse website but is a 2005 model, Ironhorse's official MSRP for the bike is $379.99 available at ironhorse retailers such as Sports Authority.
