mtb alley cat
Hey,
Does anyone know a name for alley catting in
a more mountain bike vain (Or whats to christen a new name for it)?
I mean I like the mountains but as a city dweller I usually just kick around
on the street and ride it as if its a mountain (I sure I look like a tard to most)..
But theres alot of all this fixed racing and cyclecross on trails and all
but I dont see alot of Mtb folks talking about there favorite lines in the city streets..
And searching around online I find nothing and am wondering if I just need the
right nomenclature..
Or if anyone in DC wants to describe there favorite lines and/or "natural" concrete
kickers..
BTW if DC is listening .. Georgetown has some good pseudo DH say on 34th or 35th
travelling near the river on the sidewalks, (cause there so busted up.. lots of "natural"
hits, and fast turns).

Yea I hear that, but most "street" is like park or dudes doing ginds on benches.
Im looking for something like singletrack on street... i guess it doesnt really make sense.. eh.

Urban Assault. It's basically the same as skateboarding, but with a bike. Find stairs, rails, concrete planters, etc. An Alley Cat is a bit different - it's more of a race.

Sounds fun, maybe someone could start a race in all of those drainage ditches out west, some of them have some pretty steep run outs.
