Advice on buying used fork?

I have decided to try to buy a decent fork used for as cheaply as possible to get by until I can upgrade my whole bike. I've been looking on ebay and it looks like there are some deals to be had. Is there anything I should be watching out for when buying a used fork? Anywhere online that sells refurbished ones, or something like that?

Which models do you guys think offer the most value in a used fork?

Thanks!

i've heard of people getting ripped off by sellers with 100 percent approval rating or whatever it is
i do not think you should buy a used fork.

watch out on Ebay...people will bid prices too high because they are either:

A) dumb
B) don't know what price they can get a new one for
C) really, really just want to win!!!!
D) stupid
E) all of the above

just do your homework

watch for the cut length of the fork stem...make sure its not too short
