The sky is falling!

It just started to rain here on Lake Mead . We are supposed to get up to .25" of rain . Does anyone have some tips on riding on wet surfaces

I find pedaling helps.

Not much to it really. Just don't corner too hard and take some time at the beginning of your trip to get an idea how well you can brake. Rain is nothing compared to snow or ice. Lemme tell you, ice makes riding with two wheels a little tricky.

1/4"? In January we had that much or more rain for probably 20 out of the 31 days, and measurable amounts for all the rest of the days.

The weather down here in Monterey is kinda crappy too, at least compared to last week. The sky was purple this afternoon and it got pretty stinkin windy at around 6. Supposed to be crap tomorrow too, but Wednesday is supposed to be ok just in time for more crap on Thurs.

It could be worse - we could be someplace other than Cali where winter only means put on a long-sleeved jersey.

I've got other stuff keeping me off of the trails this week though and getting in a workout in the gym at 0530 instead.

I've been looking forward to the rain(not to ride in). My baby needs some TLC , it's time to loc-tite bolts and clean/lube everything that moves . I never thought I would look forward to a rainy day , but when you only get 7" of rain a year , it's a novelty .

I'm lovin' the weather now, but when late June comes and it's 115+ degrees , the Great White North looks pretty appealing.

I hear you - it's nice here all year round...generally always 60s or 70s.

As much as i hate the weather in Cleveland, its kind of working for me at the moment. Too bloody cold and snowy to ride, so i get to save without itching too much. Well that and i have a million things to do around the house before my wife gives birth.

Maybe you should have looked at UNLV or ASU or one of a million frickin' schools in California . Just an idea.

I said it's supposed to rain .25" (a quarter inch) . Twenty-five inches is about what we get in 4 years.
