Chain fashion?

Does anyone here make/ wear bike chain stuff? Like, I wear my own made bike chain bracelet, and I plan to make a necklace out of bike chain and put a jesus cross on it.

Does anyone else do this?

I have both. Don't get the necklace. My hair got caught in it real bad. If you have hair on your neck, you might get that caught. When I tried to get my long hair out of the chain, I had to cut it. Plus it hurt like the dickens!

Well if you were inclined, you could probably put either side of a powerlink straight into a piercing. No doubt you could fashion sunglass frames out of a chain.

Why don't you show your enthusiasm for biking by not wearing jewelry, because it's impractical to ride with it on?

Oh yeah. For a moment there I was thinking I'd be bald soon. My nephew sent it to me as a gift from his shop. Nice thought, but ow!

uh, I had a peice of chain on my keychain for a while, because I thought it might open bottles. But it didn't, so I took it off.

Years ago I made a necklace using a section of chain and two sections of weaved hemp. It looked pretty cool until it started to rust! I couldnīt wear one now due to excess chest hair ;-)
I have a section of 1/8" chain in my keychain. It used to have copper colored plates, they are silver now.

Back in the early 90's, I remember a company that made jewelry out of bike chains, spoke-nipples, etc... Some stuff did look good, but why buy it if it rust and or you can DIY. I want to say the company's name was Sprockethead or something like that.

I'm all for the chain/sprocket section for a bottle opener. http://www.bluefroggoods.com/bike_ch...le_opener.html

I tried a chain braclet once...it made things hard to do. Things like sleep, getting blood flow to my hand, reaching into tight spaces, sex (she definately didn't like it), trying to think of reasons why I kept it on for a week. Why not support Livestrong instead?

Yeah, a long time ago I made a chain out of an old bike chain and spray painted it gold. I thought it looked cool but some people made fun of me and said that I was trying to be like Mr. T. So I took it off and never wore it again.

chain bracelet is cool if it's simple with nothing else on it.

necklace would be um... tacky, imho.
