What do you guys think?

I'm planning on cross training between road and mountain and was looking at this Fuji adventure comp at a performance store. Can I get some knowledgeable options about the bike? By the way it’s on sale for $599.00. Thanks!

My opinion is that I would stay away from it. It just doesn't look like a quality full suspension bike. For the same price I would shop around for a quality hardtail. It has a crappy fork and a crappy shock.

This is just my opinion and we all know what they say about opinions.

Okay, why do you feel that way? What is it about that bike that would make you think that it would be good for what the original poster intends to do which is use it on the road and on the trail?

The fork will not be a good fork for trails and it will be terrible for riding on the road. The same goes for the rear shock and suspension design. If the original poster wishes to use the bike to ride on the road some then a hardtail would be much more efficient. For the same amount of money he would be able to get a quality hardtail with a decent fork for the trails and the same or better quality components.

I am not sure about how strong that frame would, holding up the shock, but that was trippy, I could figure out where the shock was. When I did I thought that was cool.

Keep in mind you're showing them the Diamond Comp, not the Adventure Comp.

This is the Adventure Comp... http://www.fujibikes.com/2005/bikes.asp?id=30

I have the Adventure Comp and for my purposes it's perfectly fine for me. It's definitely not great for road riding, but on the trail it's pretty good for the price.

Sorry, I am just going by the one that the link led to. I didn't pay any attention to the name of it once I got there.
