If you had to choose...

Which would YOU choose? The Santa Cruz V10 or the Intense M3? (Frame)

FF 6800 03-11-06 01:07 AM

v.10

Both look simular. The Intense M3 is nice, but I'd go with the V10.

Drunken Chicken 03-11-06 02:47 AM

Damn that's a tough choice. M3, maybe?

wethepeople 03-11-06 03:44 AM

v10 is the only one I've actually ridden for a couple days straight, I was VERY pleased with it's preformance, so much so it's on my list for next fully.

The m3 is just to much bike for me at the moment, I still have to go uphill to get to the downhill.

jag89 03-11-06 07:21 AM

tought choice but i think it would be the intense!... whats your fave jason?

Hopper 03-11-06 07:47 AM

I'd go Intense. Personally Idon't like the look of the new model V10, the hump scares me. The Intense is a beautiful frame. I have ridden the M3 and they are excellent, however I have only ever ridden the older V10 design (pre hump model) it too felt nice, the Intense compared to the old style V10, amazingly, tracked better. One thing I notice dwith the Intense was to get it to feel nice it had to be ridden hard, ie the softer you rode it the worse the suspension handled, so to get the feel of the true bike it needs to be ridden near the edge.

I would go with the v10 it justs looks alot better and i like Santa Cruz alot!

Hump = ASS UGLY.

M3 for me. SC is also notorious for slow customer service and build times.

cryptid01 03-11-06 11:35 AM

I like the looks of the Intense better.

I think the SC would be more appealing if the linkage was flipped 180 (like the M3's).

Anyone know the weights of these frames offhand?

DylanTremblay 03-11-06 12:00 PM

I'd have to also go with the M3...Its seems to be built a bit better.

I'd go with the M3 because I don't like that 'hump' on the V10 and I think the front of the M3 frame just looks burlier and stronger.

Dannihilator 03-11-06 09:48 PM

I'd go with the M3. I'm still kicking myself in the rear for not getting that M3 frame.

scr1be 03-11-06 10:34 PM

looks wise, the m3 looks more aggressive, which makes it "look" stronger.

the v10's "hump" isn't so bad in my opinion. it kind of grows on you if you look at it enough.

i'd go with the m3 myself though.

WannaGetGood 03-11-06 10:37 PM

I would go with the M3. Intense is a good company. But so is Santa Cruz. And a tough choice this is. I wish I had to make this choice.lol.

What does that have to do with the frame?
