My bike is tuned, I'm ready to rock
I have been working for about 2-3 weeks to get my bike in an excellent state of tune. I got my bearings all overhauled, straightened my bent derailleur hanger, cleaned and overhauled my brakes. I am so giddy and eager to get out and ride, especially since the weather is warming up.
I know many of you are the same way, and spring is a tough time for mountain bikers in my area, because the trails are sloppy and the urge to ride is so strong. Please, please for the sake of our sport wait until the trails are dry and mud free to ride. People who ride on wet, sloppy trails give all of us a bad name, which leads to a snowball effect that can close trails. It has been a plague on Cleveland MTBers for a long time. So, remeber, GOOD THINGS TO THOSE WHO WAIT!!

I threw some slicks on my MTB, but with a 32x18 I can only average 13 mph on the road. A little frustrating, but not nearly as frustrating as watching TV

If you're riding SS, why did you have to straighten that?

Never, I have an SS conversion. Ronsonic, my brother bid for a house on Meister, right at the end of the street. Didn't get it, but my family and I live real close to that, on West Heisley.

You guys are from Cleveland and are daydreaming about dry trails? I'm in NC and daydreaming about Phil Savage's latest acquisitions come September!!
Then, maybe me being in NC where the trails aren't sloppy right now helps.
