Screamin deal!!!!

Or not?

Hey guys, I have been a lurker for a while and I am going to buy a bike, I wanted to know if you have any opinions on this fuji tahoe, its a 2005 my LBS said they are overstocked and he will sell it for 700 bucks. https://fujibikes.com/2005/bikes.asp?id=43 . I rode it today but they only had a 15, need a 17, I wanted to know what you guys think of the suntour axon with the remote lockout, I ride pretty agressive so if you could give ANY advice I'd love to hear it. Also its all deore with deore hydrolic discs. I know the specs said cable ones but the ones he has are hydros, thanks!!

Sounds like a rather mediocre price to me based on the components. Not horribly bad, but not screaming good either. Fuji's website always lists over-inflated MSRP, so I'm not entirely sure of the "real" street price of that model.

Not a bad price, but not a screaming deal. From the component list, I think somewhere in the $700-800 range would be good for an '06. Since it's an '05, they should be willing to go a bit lower.

Fuji make good bikes these days, but their MSRPs are incredibly dubious. Have been for years. I have a Fuji Roubaix Pro road bike (2003 model) that retailed for over $1500. I never saw one in a shop for more than $1200, and they could easily be bought for $1K.

Not that great of a deal. But Fuji's bikes are actually pretty good if you can find one for the right price.
