Hey Hank - you are using the idea of projection in the wrong context. Projection is the image of someone possessing a certain personality trait that the person projecting possesses, but most likely doesn't care for. Thus, while projection most likely is present in these posts from many posters, projection is not a poster thinking you mean things you do not. Hmmm... Textbook.

I have Psychology - Priniciples and Applications (Worchel, et.al.), 1992 still in my library cheap if anyone wants it.

third off fred durst is the lead singer as well as creator of a band called limp bizcuit, they specialized in an alternative form of rock, i classify it in the genre of wack ass hiphop gay **** rock, but most will say its more of a "hiphop" rock

Well as a photographer myself I think these are fantastic... and I think all of the bull**** going on between Hank and the OP (at least on the first two pages, as far as I chose to read) is bull****. I hate this crap where people shooting with a lesser body think that those with $5k bodies are somehow better photographers. The OP is a great photographer and some ass who is being all pretentious because he can right click on a photo and ramble off some technical mumbo-jumbo and somehow is better than anyone else because he shifts the relationship with OP by making him feel like a "whiny" person is bullll****. A camera is a camera, the quality of the photographs really have nothing to do with the equipment you shoot with, just as a great bike rider is a great bike rider whether he has a $5000 bike or a $500 bike. Just my $.02

By the way, I own an original D70 and plan to shoot with it for many many years to come as it produces fantastic images. I have also shot with a D2x and it didn't somehow make me a better photographer.

Awesome fantasy and assumption! Are you related to Captain Crosschain?

I agree that the most important part is the person looking through the viewfinder.

I disagree that "a camera is a camera" though. For example, I have much more control with a DSLR than I do with my point and shoot cameras. I have much more control with my point and shoots than I do with a Holga. Heck, I can get better, more consistent results with good glass on a DSLR than I can get using my older, cheaper glass.

You can certainly take quality photos with most any piece of equipment but to claim that the quality of the photographs has nothing to do with the quality of the body, quality of glass, quality of the sensor, etc. is a specious argument.

p.s. Part of taking photographs is understanding what "some technical mumbo-jumbo" actually means and how it affects the appearance of your photos. As a self-professed photographer, I'm surprised that you would refer to basic capture information as "some technical mumbo-jumbo."

your ego writes checks , your body can't cash. You've been busted, you lost your qualifications as section leader three times, put in hack twice by me, with a history of high speed passes over five air control towers, and one admiral's daughter!
Funny how different ages identify a common saying.

"Awesome fantasy and assumption! Are you related to Captain Crosschain?" was not a compliment and I'm sure there are rational folks out there who would think that it is nasty to be compared to you and your seemingly insatiable need to exaggerate.

I'd love to know what on earth you're talking about . Would you please point out a few of these exaggerations ? Are you sure you know what "insatiable need to exaggerate" means ? I see you had a bit of confusion when you tried to talk about "projection".

I thought I made it extremely simple in my previous post, since I knew that you would struggle with the obvious. Evidently I am unable to simplify it enough for your feeble brain.

Read this paragraph again. Focus on the words in bold and all caps. Ponder. Read it again. Repeat in the hopes that you "get it."

"What's really funny about your sweeping generalizations is that you take my commenting about some people acting like idiots and project (look that up in a psych text book) that I think that everyone is an idiot. Or that I think that I am perfect in every way, because I discuss people acting like idiots. (here's some help, since you have a history of struggling with what I write: KEY WORD: "SOME")"

Here are a few examples of your exaggerations, per your request:

I he says something that hurts somebody feelings , he calls them a whinner or a priss

The problem I have with hank is that , he insults anyone who does not agree with him .

has problems accepting any point of view that differs from his this is a fact."Hank" is perfect in every way(in his opinion)this is an opinion of mine.If he says something that hurts somebody feelings , he calls them a whinner or a priss Another fact Had I used the words "most" or "many" the other three would be facts . Do I need to pull out some the insults you have made to others ? That shouldn't be needed . I'm pretty sure many of the readers of this forum have seen plenty of your insults . Knock it off , and start behaving like an adult . For the good of all mankind , please seek a therapist or two . It will help you with your narcissistic personality issues .
