Latley, the mountain trails have been really muddy and its been after every ride. Last weekend I lost use of both front & rear deraileurs because they were packed full of mud and grass. I usually hose it off only if it gets too dirty because I store & work on my bikes in my basement and I don't want get all that dirt inside

Still kicking.
I have an oddball method.
The drivetrain only gets cleaned. The rest gets cleaned once a month.

recently, its been really muddy and wet, so the drivetrain would routinely become gritty feeling and slow. so iv been forced to clean after every ride. normally tho its after every 3 or 4 rides id say.

I dont clean the drivetrain after every ride thats just a waste of lube. I will clean it after 50km of riding, which is usually 2 rides for me. I will not clean the rest of my bike unless i feel like it/need it. Usually around once every 2 months.
Clean disc brake rotors etc when i do the drivetrain dependent on the conditions i have used them in.

I lube the driveline before most rides especially in winter.
I clean the drive train often, every 3rd or 4th ride.
I clean the bike less often than I should.
I run two bikes and sometimes which is cleanest / dirtiest be a factor in which bike I take riding.

Not really. Dirty bikes make happy riders, but moving parts don't really like dirt.

I clean the bike after every ride- Mainly because it is the only way to get the bike ready for the next ride after a 30 miler offroad. It is not only cleaning the frame and getting the mud off. All parts are looked at to ensure they are not going to fail- Drive chain is cleaned and relubed, and tyres are checked for splits and thorns. Then once a year, or possibly twice, the frame is stripped and every part cleaned and checked. Surprising how much mud gets into the awkward parts that a brush cannot reach on a normal clean.

Like most everyone else said.drivetrain, drivetrain, drivetrain. I do not have full blown OCD about it but close to it.
every couple of rides I will clean the dirt away from the seals of any suspension.
The rest, when I am bored enough to contemplate.

It all depends on the bike. My beater gets used, abused and put away wet, never cleaned. My race bikes get cleaned, polished and relubed after every ride/race. My everyday rider gets a hose down once, maybe twice a week(unless it is muddy out) and relubed when needed.
