MOAB - Eeaassyy, fun mountain bike rides?
My wife (68) and I (66) will be going to Moab May 19th for a few days.
We are interested in some easy, scenic mountain bike trails.
My wife has a bum knee and is recovering from a severe case of post-herpetic-neuralgia (shingles) which means a lot of pain at some times.
Nevertheless, she is capable of a 15-20 mile level ride, and can do a bit of hills.
So, what suggestions might someone have for the Moab, UT area?
I have done a lot of internet searching and the Hurrah Pass trail keeps coming up, along withe the Bar M Loop.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated! We will be riding Specialized Hardrocks with no suspension. I have about 25-30,000 miles of riding the past few years, and she probably has about 5,000. We have adequate water and other stuff, and ride with a rack and small panniers for equipment.

Perhaps you two might want to consider renting some bikes with suspension? Moab is filled with shops that can accomodate you. Slickrock is a very unforgiving surface and you may enjoy your ride time with a little bit of suspension between you and the terrain.

Throw the stick!!!!
When you call up poison spider ask them about a trail called Sovereign Trail. I did it the last day of my trip when I was there a couple of years ago. From what I recall it was the easiest trail out there. It was also the only true "singletrack" trail.

[EDIT]
It did turn up, but I had disregarded it due to its classification as technically moderate/difficult, and physically challenging, which is way out of our range.
SOVEREIGN SINGLETRACK
Trailheads: Willow Springs Rd (most popular), Dalton Wells Rd, Archview Campground (primarily OHVs) 11-13 miles north of Moab on Hwy 191.
Difficulty: Physically challenging, technically moderate/difficult

If you have yet to vernture over to, mtbr.com forums, there is about 3 people a week posting there about their trips to MOAB. I'm sure if you don't find what you are looking for here, they will easily be able to help you.

I would guess the mtbr.com forums would be pretty technical, but will definitely check things out there. So far, their server has been so slow I can't get to the discussion groups.
Here are some I have found promising:
https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/flatiron.htm
https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/bar-M-loop.htm
https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/hurrah.htm
https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/onion.htm
Anyone ridden these?
All-in-all there seem to be a lot of things to do in Moab and surrounding areas, even if we don't get a lot of biking. Also, as a last resort, there is a nice (but short) bicycle trail through the town, which we rode when we stayed one night there a couple of years ago.
