If your bottom bracket is broken then it would need to be replaced now. How many miles do you have on this crankset? Also, LX is a much better buy than XT. It will save you $100 and only gain you around 50 - 60 grams. I'm assuming that you are purchasing a crankset with external bottom bracket, they hold up much better than ISIS or Octalink.

I think Jensonusa still has the Saint set for 175$...

edit: missed the part where he mentioned weight being one of his main concerns.

Great crankset, just not for xc. I'm pretty sure wheelhot is more into xc considering that he is concerned with weight and the majority of his questions pertain to xc bikes.

yeah im a XC person, im wondering which to choose LX or XT? LX has a nicer design from XT from my opinion buy the weight of XT is ns, cause my Hardtail is 1 piece of heavy ass. I hate ordering stuff from Malaysia, guess wat, they do not import CamelBak LOBO and If i wan to import it i will get a 25% Sales Tax, F*** off. And guess what , all bicycle components are taxed cause us malaysia makes some freakin LOUSY!!! suspension and they are taxing us for bringing in quality suspension. The thing that reallly pissed me off is that malaysia doesnt have a lot of REAL mountain biker, most of them just buy a cheap bike and cycle it, u can barely go mtb with it, 18 speed and 21 speed is still widely sold in malaysia and SRAM X.0 is like a SUPER SPECIAL DERAILLEUR if u have one here in malaysia. F*** OFF MALAYSIA!!!!
