110 mph bike crash video!!!!!!

From Digg.com: This is what happens when your bike falls apart while riding down the side of a Volcano at 110mph!!!

literocola 05-07-06 09:33 AM

That guy got ****** up!
I wanna hit that hill, but not on the bike he was riding. I have much faith in my Kona Stab, or my Foes DHS.
HAHHAAH, that ****** guy..
His helmet actualy came off... thats when all when wrong. I would have worn an Arai crotch rocket helmet.

literocola 05-07-06 09:36 AM

WannaGetGood 05-07-06 02:05 PM

Quite a crash. And I see the problem, it was in Japan ha!

gattm99 05-07-06 03:22 PM

I thought the guy looked pretty good for a 100+ mph crash. Oh and it must be some special japanese first care. If someone has bad fall, pick them up, take off their clothes and jostle them about.

more like "take off the shredded remains of their clothes"

mcoine 05-07-06 03:30 PM

seriously, he should be wearing full motorcycle gp racing gear.. a helmet should never fall off.

marcelinyc 05-07-06 03:34 PM

lmao, who made that bike?

swifferman 05-07-06 03:41 PM

The helmet probably wasn't for protection. I'm guessing it was to reduce drag.

Paladin 05-07-06 05:48 PM

Holy crap, those are some crazy SOBs!

a) stop masking your swear words by mispelling them. Consider this a warning.
b) you wouldn't have come close to those speeds on the stab. On a giant dh he hit 85. That bike was made for one run, fastest possible speed and the outfit was made for the same reason.

Its a prototype made specifically for the land speed racord he made. Which he broke by 20mph. The vid itself is a few years old and was filmed for ripleys.

[bEn] 05-08-06 03:25 AM

Seen it before. Its old, but still would have hurt.

dminor 05-08-06 11:20 AM

Watch On Any Sunday sometime. You'll see a roadracer (I think it may have been Cal Rayborn) get into a tank-slapper at about 180 mph and ragdoll and skip across the tarmac like a rock on a pond. Yowza! And he got up and walked away from it.

crazy_mtnbikur 05-08-06 09:18 PM

wow that is nuts lemme try i think the fuji might make one run

Philly 05-09-06 03:11 AM

crap that's nasty. looked like aburn victim afterwards

古強者死神 05-09-06 07:39 AM

Wow thats a pretty sick video!

The idea of over 100mph on a bike doesnt bother me but definitly I would have to wonder if the bike is up for the job, in this case even a bike built for this run didnt quite make it... thats alot of friction and heat to build up on a moving part and the g-force would be very high if the sloap angle suddenly changed.

cyberposer 05-09-06 10:06 PM

**** you

test

That has to be the worst first aid I've ever seen. I'm a Wilderness First Responder and I'm appalled that they didn't imobilize him and transport him out on a spinal board, but no they stood him up WTF. He goes head first into the dirt at 163 km per hour and they don't even try to imobilize him. I hope those "experts" aren't taking care of me if I get a bad wipe out.

Typical of situations where nobody around has EMS training.
