Where are you riding this weekend?

It's a holiday weekend here in the States. Just wondered if anyone has any cool weekend ride plans.

I'll be heading up to Snowshoe WV tomorrow for my first dose of lift serviced riding this season.
I spent last night at the shop watching Roam, mounting the sticky tires, rebuilding my rear hub, and installing a whole new driveline, pretty much. Definitely got the anticipatory juices flowing.

Not super cool but a local biker is having a pig roast at his house. He has all kinds of log rides/bridges and a teeter set up in his yard. We'll see how beer, bikes, lots of bikers, and stunts goes.

Saturday I will be taking some riders from out of town to pre-ride Little Creek park. Sunday at 11:00 am I will be starting to suffer and riding as fast as I can at Little Creek park. On Monday I will be on the road bike doing Tempo work.

I'll be riding in my flat... xD Just kidding, I can't ride at all. I'm still out for a while, hopefully only a month left but we'll have to see.

Monday I will head out into the boonies and spend about 4 hours or so exploring some areas a bit deeper in the Forest. Of course there will be some stops along the way, while I dismount and use my seat for a rest as I try to catch my breath. But what is really cool, is I am going up places faster and with less trouble each week. Progress is so neat how it kind of sneaks up on you in this sport.

No where, sadly

My brother graduates HS tomorrow, then Saturday is his party, then Sunday is more parties for other people, then Monday I leave for Peru, and my parents wouldn't let me take my bike...

But the important thing is that all the trails and bars are open.

This coming weekend I will be painting my garage. It's supposed to rain all weekend anyway...

I'm going to be in Bellingham, WA on a Ski to Sea Relay team. My son and is housemates have a team put together and they asked me to do the mountain biking leg. (How cool is that? ) The race starts from Mt. Baker with XC and downhill skiiing legs, followed by running, road bike, canoe & mountain bike and finishes with sea kayaking in Squalicum Harbor. They follow it up with lots of beer, food and music in Old Fairhaven.

I feel honored that the college kids asked a couple of us 'old men' to be a part of it (one of the other dads is doing the XC ski). Should be a blast. I love relays.

I'm thinking Briones

It gets pretty fast, the pitch change of those hills are so abrupt you can feel the G forces push you into your seat

It's an awesome rollercoaster
