My only rant!!!!
I get so angry at this site sometimes. I use this site at my home, my work, and my friends house. All three places have a Broadband connection. Why is it that probably 30% of the time, my page won't load, it loads slower than dial-up?
I get this:
"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings."
You know, they typical DNS error stuff.
Is the server too small or something? Are there too many people here?
I am very grateful and love the site, but there have been times when I posted a reply and it DNS errored on me but still posted the response.
Does this happen to you? Or are my settings all jacked up?
Did I mention that I really do love this place, I'm just very impatient sometimes.

But, what can you do? I only hope they are still working out server issues or something.
Now, maybe if a few more people got some red stars............

You could always contribute some $$ to the site to help pay for some more bandwidth!

Its a multitude of problems joe is aware of and working on. He has recently upgraded to two new servers one for front end and one for the back end. That has helped a lot over the past couple of months, excluding the whiny pessimists who won't give Joe any credit, but I think its possible it is still causing problems and may be a bandwidth issue. But without all the specs of the server or knowing his broadband connection for them I could only guess.
I do know this. 4 sites I know upgraded to this new version of vbulleting and went through growing pains as it almost immediately slowed the sites down.

Keep this in mind:
I know of one other board that gets more traffic than this site, which happens to run this version of Vbull.
That site goes down far, far more often, and for longer than this place.
They pay for their site through rampant advertising, yet still are unreliable.
Be happy we have a more stable site, and don't have to deal with giant animated and annoying ads. I sure am. Either way, Joe busts his ass to make this a great place for us all. Just be patient, Vbull updates are pretty much like getting assualted in the nuts with a tack hammer....it's not pretty, and the pain won't go away for a while.

I get a horrible "Lag" effect. I will post somthing and it will never give me the update it will sit there for a very long time or permanently... so I click it again maybe and it may go thru but it will be double post.
Seems like a code error not a bandwith error.
Mael probably has it right with it being a new board with bugs that need worked out, hopefully none of the old files causeing a internal confliction with the new stuff.
I just try to close the page im on, and open a new one when a post wont go thru, usually works, might have trouble loading that forum after tho.
