First DH

I went to my first DH race today. I did OK I finished mid pack in beg. men ,there were no age groups. The course had a lot of flats so my HT worked well. It was muddy and I piled it up on my first practice run so now I have a nice bruise on my hip. It was a good day,no broken bike parts and no broken bones. Here is a pic my dad took.(He said it was for nofear)
Me in a switchback........

Nice, good finish. Are those elbow guards only or full upper body armour? Just wondering about what people's preferences are on that.

Those are elbow guards,661. It was a pretty tame course so and it was hot so full armour was too much.

Good first race, GirlScout! You'll get the lean - - trust your tires and it'll come.

Hey 'scout, I bet once you learn how to take internet advice and ride properly, you will encounter even more success.

Congratulations on your finish - perhaps at the Sugar NORBA you will be more appropriately classed.

He's gonna skip the sugar race. He's saving his money to build up a new bike. He's gonna work with my dad all summer.
