Question about glove fit...

Recently, I lost one of my Specialized XC Long gloves, they were terrible so I'm not interested in getting another pair of those, so I'm getting Fox Sidewinder gloves at 20$ from BlueSkyCycling.com, all good, now the problem is, how do I know which size is right? My old gloves were Large and they were fine but are sizes among different brands the same or what? Should I play it safe and get a medium? Will a tighter fit be better?

P.D: I would try to get a fit from a shop or even buy from a shop but I've never seen Fox Sidewinders around here, ever.

Try other fox's on. They all have a similar fit.

Personally I would go for a large again. I dont find glove sizes varry that much

I decided to go with medium... I like a snugglier fit and my former gloves were just a bit loose (though my hand did fill the entire glove).

Well, worst case scenario I don't like the fit on the gloves and have to sell them and order large, they costed me 25$ with shipping, I'm confident I could get 30$ at least for them around here.
